Business Spotlight: Six Seconds presents Women’s Leadership Cohort

September 2, 2026

Women throughout Siouxland have a new opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and explore how emotional intelligence can help them lead with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Lead with Alignment: A Women’s Leadership Cohort, presented by Six Seconds, will launch its Fall 2026 pilot cohort in Sioux City with sessions on September 23, September 30, and October 21.

The leadership experience is designed for women in leadership and emerging leadership roles who want practical tools they can immediately apply in the workplace.

Using Six Seconds’ emotional intelligence (EQ) framework, participants will explore how emotional intelligence influences leadership presence, decision-making, communication, workplace relationships, and performance under pressure. The program combines peer learning, guided reflection, practical application, and opportunities to connect with other women leaders.

A Hybrid Leadership Experience

Lead with Alignment combines virtual learning with an immersive, in-person workshop in Sioux City. The three-session format gives participants an opportunity to learn new concepts, put them into practice, and then reconnect to discuss their experiences and continue developing their leadership skills.

Session 1: Virtual Kickoff
Wednesday, September 23 | 3:00–5:00 PM CST

Participants will begin building connections, learn about the Six Seconds EQ framework, and prepare for the in-person leadership experience.

Session 2: In-Person Workshop
Wednesday, September 30 | 8:30 AM–3:30 PM CST
Northwest Area Education Agency
5800 Discovery Blvd., Sioux City, Iowa

This highly interactive workshop will focus on self-awareness, leadership presence, communication, and the practical application of emotional intelligence in the workplace.

Session 3: Virtual Follow-Up
Wednesday, October 21 | 3:00–5:00 PM CST

Participants will reflect on what they’ve learned, share successes and challenges, strengthen their ongoing leadership practices, and provide feedback on the program.

The cohort is designed for women at a variety of stages in their leadership journeys, including managers, directors, team leads, business owners, nonprofit leaders, educators, emerging leaders, and women preparing to take on greater leadership responsibilities.
