The Big Parade and Krewe de Charlie Sioux Mardi Gras Gala

The Big Parade draws some of the largest crowds of all of the annual events held in Sioux City. Giant hot air balloons fill the sky as the Mardi Gras style parade winds its way through downtown Sioux City. Complete with entertainment and great food, this event is part of the weekend long Saturday in the Park festivities. Parade watchers anxiously await the beads and candy that are generously tossed to the crowd. The parade takes place on Friday evening during the 4th of July weekend. Krewe de Charlie Sioux Mardi Gras Gala
This Mardi Gras party held at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena features outstanding costumes - some 14 foot high including a processional. Come enjoy a taste of Liousiana with an authentic cajun meal prepared fresh by Liousiana chefs. Arena seating is free.  Reserved seating is available please contact (712) 279-4850.
