 Earthgrains Company, formerly Metz Baking, is known for its Old Home quality baked goods, ranging from breads, buns, muffins, and pies. The Metz family established the Siouxland bakeries in the early 1900s. Metz grew to over 20 bakeries when it was purchased by Earlthgrains Company in 2000, making the new company the 2nd largest manufacturer of baked goods in the nation.
