National Champions!!!

Morningside College, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), marked its 100th year of competition in collegiate athletics in 1997. The Mustangs are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

Morningside fields varsity teams in football, women's volleyball, soccer, golf, cross country, basketball, track & field, swimming, baseball, softball wrestling, and tennis.

The Mustangs' track & field teams have produced three national champions since the year 2000.  The Mustangs' softball, volleyball, and women's golf teams all earned regional tournament berths. Individually, Morningside produced 13 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and three NAIA All-Americans during the 2002-03 school year.
