Missouri River

A segment of the Missouri River from Gavins Point Dam at Yankton S.D. to Ponca State Park in Nebraska was officially designated a National Recreational River under the act in November of 1978. It is only one of two stretches of the entire stream which has not felt the heavy hand of man.
