Disc Golf Course

In 2001 the youth of Sioux City expressed their desire for an exciting new activity known as disc golf.  With the assistance of local businesses and volunteers, as well as the City of Sioux City and Mayor's Youth Commission the nine-hole Disc Golf Course openend in the summer of 2002.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf.  A player begins by throwing the disc from the tee off box toward the hole.  The player continues throwing the disc several more times until it is in the "hole", which is an above the ground basket.  The disc golf course is located at Sertoma Park in Morningside by the big blue water tower.
