Chamber of Commerce

The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce annual dinner, held each fall, is the largest annual chamber gathering in the Midwest.  This past year, over 1,100 Siouxland businesses and business professionals from the tri-state area attended.

The Siouxland Chamber boasts a distinguished list of guest speakers at the annual meeting, including Mary Matalin and James Carville, Mark Russell, Tim Russert, Judge Robert Bjork, John Stossel, Ted Koppel, Sam Donaldson, George Will, Bob Schieffer, and General H. Norman Schwarzkov, just to name a few.  The guest speaker at the 2007 Annual Dinner was Mr. George Stephanopoulos, Chief Washington Correspondent for ABC News and anchor of ABC's Sunday morning program, "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

Each year the Chamber recognizes the accomplishments of the past board members and introduces the incoming board. One highlight of the evening is the presentation of the W. Edwards Deming Entrepreneurial Excellence Award to a Siouxland businessperson in acknowledgment of outstanding contributions to the business community.  The 2007 recipient of the award was Leonard Gill, President of L.P. Gill, Inc.
