Briar Cliff University
Briar Cliff University has enjoyed a long and proud relationship with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), fielding nine intercollegiate athletic programs, including baseball, basketball, men's and women's golf and soccer, as well as softball and volleyball. Briar Cliff and the City of Sioux City have played an active role in NAIN national championship events, hosting the inaugural NAIA Women's Golf National Championship in 1995 and also the 1995, 1996 and 1997 NAIA Baseball National Championships.
